Sauhard, founded in 2011, is a registered non-profit organization working on youth development to promote and establish peace, harmony and equality. Our vision is to “Empower the Youth to play a role in creating better future through Conflict Transformation.”
Currently functional in Ahmedabad, we aim to sensitize and enable the youth to voice their opinions, ideas, concerns and views over social and political issues through creative media. In accordance with which we use mediums like theatre, comics, movies & documentaries, exposure trips and workshops to work on our primary modules of Gender, Youth Leadership, Indian Politics & Governance, Indian Constitution, Sustainable Development and Secularism. The Sauhard Youth Fellowship Programme is designed to achieve the same.
Sauhard is building a national movement, led by youth, to transform young people to active citizen and build a nation they want to live in, where they can achieve their aspirations. Through spaces to dialogue their roles and responsibilities in democracy and India’s development. Along with working directly with the community of young people, Sauhard also works with various agencies to bring a systematic change and strengthen the ecosystem of youth development work.
